so much fun you’ll forget you’re making memories
Our awards system is detailed and designed to recognize achievement, growth and skill development while still keeping the focus on fun. Alongside their chosen activities, campers also take part in a variety of programs organized by cabin, section, team, gender and full camp throughout the session. As the weeks progress, all campers have the opportunity to participate in an overnight camping trip with their cabin mates, building teamwork, outdoor skills and confidence.
Throughout each session, all campers have the opportunity to take part in a short 1 to 2 night outtrip with their section. For campers from SK to Grade 6, these trips are section-based, one night and optional. For campers in Grade 7 and above, a two night trip is a mandatory part of the session experience. These trips are a great way for campers to connect with nature and learn canoe tripping skills while developing teamwork, communication and leadership. It is an important part of the Traditional Camper program at Camp Can-Aqua.

Individualized Teaching Makes for Happy Campers
2 Week Summer Camp Sessions, Ages 6-15
Our 2 week summer programs are a terrific way for kids to grow roots within the camp community. Over the course of their session, campers learn new skills, earn awards and build friendships that can last a lifetime.
At Camp Can-Aqua, campers are grouped into cozy cabins within our two camp sections, organized by age and biological sex. Our traditional 2 week programs offer some of the best overnight camp experiences in Ontario, filled with adventure, growth and unforgettable memories. Each 2 week camper has the opportunity to take part in an overnight camping trip.
With a strong focus on individualized instruction, campers have the opportunity to learn and progress at their own pace. Our unique awards system celebrates every step of development, weaving skill-building naturally into the fun of daily camp life.
Each day brings a mix of activities, sometimes with their cabin, section or team, and other times with the entire camp community. As sessions unfold, campers embark on exciting overnight camping trips with their cabin. Campers in Grades 1 to 6 enjoy a one night trip, while campers in Grades 7 to 10 participate in a two night adventure.
A highlight of every session is our Can-Aqua Games. Campers dive into this high-energy event as the camp divides into three teams for an epic all-camp competition that becomes a defining memory of their summer.
